| [slm] may Allah Ta'ala Grant everyone the Baraka of Ramadan, and Establish us on the journey of righteousness i was wondering if anybody knew about an arabic song about the worshipers of the two mosques. i saw a link in the original message board to an online song. the thread was about top ten songs ppl liked. many ppl posted Y.I. songs, and someone said this one was better than all of them, hehehe. so i wanted to know if anyone knew abt either the song or the singer. jzkm Allahu Khair tahirah |

| [slm] in case anyone had absolutely no idea what i was talking about, i think i found the nasheed at imaan.net here is their translation of the song from the website. ma'a salaama tahirah The translation is as follows: "O you who worships in the Two Holiest of places, If you had seen us you would know that your worship is but mere play (1); You whose cheeks are tinted with tears, our chests are tinted with our blood! And if your horse is busy in frivolity, our horses are busy from the morning of the day (2); The scent of your fragrance to you, and our fragrance to us! (3) The debris and dust of the hooves of the steed are superior; Perchance we received this from the sayings of our Prophet; A speech of rectitude and truth, that can never be perjurous; There is no equality between the dust of the horse of Allah (4) in the nostrils of a man, and the smoke of a kindling fire; This is the Book of Allah enunciated between us; Nay! The martyr is not dead, nor is he false." [This is an approximate translation and I have attempted to preserve the poetic nature when rendered into English] (1) Meaning it is but mere play compared to Jihaad for Allaah's sake (2) Meaning he uses his horse to go from place to place; Whereas, they use their horses fighting in Allah's path from the very morning (3) Meaning the worshipper may put on fragrance to beautify himself for his worship; Whereas, theirs is the fragrance of the field of jihaad and the fragrance of the martyrs blood which is the scent of musk (4) "Khayl" muDaaf to the name of Allah is in reference to those horses which are used fighting in the path of Allah w-Allaahu, `azza sha'nahu wa jall, a`lam.. |
