| I liked the post about reasons not to argue with kids so much I thought maybe we can share some of the things our kids or smaller brothers or sisters have said to make us :D :-/ When my son was a pre-teen we were visiting a craft shop and they had posters on a wall. I knew all the ladies who worked there so we always joked. As my son was looking at posters for his wall I yelled out (cause he was looking at posters of those skinny models ) Hey you cannot have anything SMALLER than me on your wall, to which he replied without hesitation. DANG MOM, I guess the Nimitz is out :o (the Nimitz is an aircraft carrier) I was like :o as the whole store was like :D The little brat One other time (same son) while we were at a store the candies I use to buy for 1 cent were .05 cents and even .10 and I told him he if he saved he could get a whole bag rather than waste it on just a few pieces. I told him how much mom use to pay going to candy stores with .25 cents and coming out with a bag of candy. To which he replied (again without hesitation and in that child's disgusted voice that makes a parent feel like they don't know anything) MOM!!!!!!!!! It's not the old days anymore you know. If this is to crass jannah please feel free to delete it. But I think it shows the innocence of children. My youngest son when he was little would always come upstairs to help me make the bed after hubby went to work. He was about 10 y/o and hubby and I had been discussing having another child the day before. I said, Son, how would you feel about maybe having a little sister or perhaps another brother. He continued helping me make the bed and said, ummmmm that would be ok mom, and we continued talking about other things........All of a sudden he looked up with this awful look on his face :( and said: MOM, you have to have sex to have a baby, WHO would you have sex with??? I was like :o ahhhhhh innocence. Last, my oldest was about 4 or 5 and we were living in So. Florida, I told him we were going to the Seaquarium in Miami. To which he replied.... Where's your Ami live He had thought I was saying My Ami as in MY aunt ot My cousin Ok, your turn ;) |

| This is a true event. I was picking up my sister kids, Nadia the younger one and Nimo the older one were aruging, I told Nadia go to the back, but she went through the driver seats to the back, she said to nimo shut up you little (just about when she was going to say the B word here elbow hit the horn), it was funny, but I told her not to use that word again. This was around this summer that just left. :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ |
