Wisdom behind the shaving of the head?

[slm] Can someone tell me the wisdom behind halq/taqseer (shaving of the head during Hajj) i know it has got something with purifying yourself for Allah but i need it clearly explained and backed up with ahadeeth etc. Jazak Allahu khayran  :)

[wlm] Check out some websites and books on Hajj. They all have a lot of information on the subject.

I did but i couldn't find anything explained in detail about it just yet, so i thought someone might know?
