A very religious brother from Bangladesh was recently terminated from his evening job at a restaurant for having his evening meal. He has afull time job during the day
and this Ramadan worked two jobs and still observed his fast.
I asked his employer why he fired Rashid and he gave me several contradictary
reasons. Rashid has worked in fine dining establishments like the Hilton, Hyatt,
and Hard Rock Cafe. They have all given him excellent recommendations.
His manager said we have all religions including Hindu....was that an excuse
for disrespecting Rashid's right to have his evening meal. He was never late
always on schedule...Please help me understand why this employer could be so cruel. Is this legal?

Depends on the country. If it's Bangladesh, no chance.

When I was experiencing discrimination problems at my highschool i contacted cair and it worked. THe school board was trying to say that hijab should not be worn and were tying to make it not allowed in the dress code. Some sisters and I then contacted cair and the problem was resolved. i think it would be of great help
