Another stupid question maybe somebody can answer

I see on occassion I have say for example 4 messages...these are different than posts right? How do I retrieve them. I am having problems with my computer lately sometimes it shuts down when I log on to certain sites this is one of them. I don't want to be rude and and not read or respond to someone who has taken the time to write me a message. Any suggestions. Wa Salaam Sister Bangachi

[slm] Yes it means 4 messages are waiting for you. Just click on the word "messages" They will pop up.
