| [slm] my dear Akhwat :-) I think I am often guilty of not recognising the role other people, especially my sisters, both biological and sisters in Islam, play in my life, in lifting my spirits, in helping me through the tough times, in helping me celebrate the good times, in giving me the most important and sincere Naseeha, when I want it, and especially when I dont. Today I got to chat with a dear cybersis, who helped me, (I hope she knows it :-*) to become more optimistic, and see things that were making me feel down as not as bad as I thought they were...jazakillah for your support, I really appreciate it! To all the sisters out there, may Allah reward you for every word, every Duaa, every hug (even cyberhugs)... :-* Nobody could be as special as our sisters! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-* Salam Shahida :-) |

| Goodness!!!! I sure know what you mean. Stopped by the store my oldest son works at on my way to have dinner with my youngest sons family. I seen a sister who I have not seen in many months But had missed something awful. She would ask my son about me and visa versa (she works with my son) This sister is awsome. I remember the first time I saw her. She was at work and wearing hijab and my heart felt such compassion and respect for her. I thought to myself. NOW there is a woman living to please Allah and not people. I was so impressed by her commitment to Allah. I told her this after we began talking that first time. She has a heart and spirit that is awsome. When I see her I always feel that feeling one gets in their heart when you are seeing a cherished family member. Happy to see them. Anyway I got to see her yesterday and after exchanging greetings, hugs and catching upon the last several months. The comfort and happiness seeing her was cool. I soooo need to get into an Islamic community. |
