Would anyone care to share and swap their favorite and comforting Quran verses and duas? One post I had someone shared one with me, I would go to the pc and read it and recite it anytime I felt overwelmed and it broughts such comfort. It times of stress, moves, jobs, motherhood, marriage, divorce, families and not knowing what to do, we should all uplift and encourage one another. How about we make this the Quran verse/duas swap meet open 24/7 to bring comfort to anyone who needs it. I wish I could find that old post of mine Time to do some research :-[ I found it, it was in a post I did and Jannah replied to me It is beautiful and brought me much prespective and peace. |

[slm] My absoloute all time favourite verse which my mum taught me when I was little, as I suffered from dreadful nightmares. She told me to pray it before I slept and an angel would watch over me till morning. It's translation is as follows (it's called the verse of the throne btw and I think it's probably one of the first verses a lot of young children are taught to recite by heart, but I could be wrong about the latter) Ayat-Ul-Kursi "Allah! There is no god but He - the Living, the Self-subsisting, Supporter of all. No slumber can seize him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth? He knoweth what (appeareth to His creatures as) Before or After or Behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He willeth. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and he feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is Most High, The Supreme (in Glory)." (Al-Baqarah, 2:255) Wassalaam |
