Love beyond borders

I would like to tell a story. A simple love story about love. Perhaps not romantic like the Khan and his beloved Mumtaz yet more beautiful than the sparkle of the brightest jewel kissed by the first blush of sunlight. More importantly, it is a testament of true love, a love that crosses so many boundaries yet remaining steadfast in the heart.  A love born of faith and sustained by belief. A love carried from this world and Inshallah, renewed in aakhirah.

About 5 years ago, a sister joined an Islamic message board, thinking she would gain some knowledge by exchanging facts and experiences with other Muslims from all over the world.  She met many wonderful people who inspire her and humble her with their knowledge, kindness of spirit and generosity.  Along the years her friendship with two particular sisters deepened and grew into love that embodies the spirit of Islam.  she shared many of her life concerns, her joys and her pain with these two sisters and they in turn shared theirs.

This year, the sister went through so many challenging life experiences and, on many occasions, only the loving and encouraging words of the two sisters managed to bring on a smile onto her face, easing her troubles for a moment or two. Unknown to the sister, the other two sisters even planned with each other and sent a sum of money to the sister, thinking to ease her burden, even if for a bit. Subhanallah..when the sister first found out about it, she cried tears of gratitude.  Not for the money, but for the beautiful love and friendship she has been blessed with.  Who would have thought that a simple Salaam of introduction in an Islamic message board would bring her these ? There are just too many stories to tell, stories of how 3 hearts crossed all borders to be united by nurul hubb.  All three promised to make a special du'ah.  That if its not possible for them to meet on this earth, then may Allah make it possible for them to embrace each other in the gardens of Rawdah.

Oh..as for the money the sister received ? She made a sadaqah in the name of the most beautiful and illuminating Rainbow and Moonbeams.  Two souls who brighten both her days and her nights. The sister thank Allah every single day for this ni'mah...this precious gift of true friendship. May Allah Reward all true friendship and love with His Love and His Presence.

Wassalam
