Sudais and Shuraim

This might seem odd but I just wanted to ask if anyone knew why Sudais and Shuraim appear together in all Qur'an recitations. That is, including digital qur'an books like the Penman. At least for the Sudais part. I love both their voices but is it possible to get each voice one it's own. I also know that they're both Imams at Makkatu-Al-Mukarramh. I watched the Tarawiih prayers this Ramadan and Shuraim would lead the fisrt ten and Sudais the last ten. Don't know about the Tahjjud though, I was also praying. We happen to be in the same time zone. As for the Tarawiih, I would record the Tarawih and go to pray myself at our local Mosque.
May Allah admit us all entry into Al-Firdaus in Jannah. Amiin.

i am not sure Mehad.  but, the fact that imam sudais and imam shuraim lead taraweeh and tahajjud prayers in ramadan might have a big role in why many qur'an cds have recitations from both of them. in  al-haram al-makki, recording qur'an recitations during salat (any salah during ramadan or otherwise) is allowed, free, and not restricted.  so what might be happenning is that some recording company invests time in recording the complete qur'an during taraweeh and, makes copies of these cds, and sells them.  most of these companies don't have exclusive rights over recitations of sudais or shuraim.  as far as i know, these two imams don't mind having their recitations recorded and don't ask for royalties.

take care
wassalam

Don't know about the penman but i do know that they do come separately as a box of CD's.

One thing that's struck me is that the set of CD's with them both together is a lot cheaper, and thus they sell more. I used to take care of a bookstore, and the set with them both was about 36 US Dollars, while the Sh. Shuraim came out at about $57 US.

hope this helps.

Jazaka-Allahu-Kairan. That has cleared up my confusion.

That is very good and infact what is precisely required of Imams.

That is very true infact and of the reasons I think why is because as I said earlier both their voices are wonderful. But it also gives a break from the other as in Sudais reads a whole surah and Shuraim the first page or the first three pages of the next. That's wonderful. Many times I have also gotten bored slightly listening to one tajweed alone but the change once in a while is very good. Kinna like when I listen to the Tajweed of Sheikh Hafs and Mishary Al-Efasy and my favourite who is Sheikh Ahmed Bin Ali Al-Ajmy. Anyway, Jazaka-Allahu-Kairan, it really cleared up a lot.
