| [slm] :) The US has now pledged £183m. Britain upgraded its aid package to £50m. Japan's government has a £260m aid package. Sweden has offered £41m. The EU has put together £21m China has offered £31m. Australia is giving £24m. The World Bank has pledged £130m The British public will try to match the amount being donated by the Government! :o May Allah (swt) reward them all with Goodness and guidance. Ameen - this should be a clear indication to everybody that not all non-muslims are bad, "And amongst them there are those who carry out good deeds (with sincerety)". As Muslims we should try and do even more, as the majority of the people affected by the tsunami are muslims. Every penny/dime counts! [wlm] :) |
