yup most people need 6-8 hrs. teens need 8-10 hrs. as you get older you need less sleep except for adolescents. a nap should not exceed 20 min otherwise it will mess up ur sleep cycle.

Assalamu alaikum,

To be honest, I dont pay much attention to sleep....I get by with 3-5 hours during the week and catch up by sleeping about 7 on the weekends  :D  But I can go 2 days without sleep as well. I guess it depends on the person but what chocolate said sounds bout right...

You need about 3 hours REM sleep minimal. Ask google about Ubermans sleep cycle.

8 hours for an adult, 12 for children... dunno about teens, wish my mums neighbour would take the latter amount at night times instead of singing celine dion songs till the wee hours... At least whilst I'm visiting !!

Wassalaam

From what I learned eight hours is average and minimum amount of sleep a person needs. It varies from person to person.. some people need more and some people Need less than eight hours of sleep. Kids need more sleep than adults because they are still growing and growth occurs when one sleeps.
