I have previously posted subject about interview techniques, i cant find the orignal post.
I have another interview coming up again i have been told this position is very competitive and it will be a formal interview.
I will be having a practice interview with my current boss in the near future.
I have been told try to make a connection with every member of the interview panel so they will remember me out of the other 9 candidates and believe I am the best person for the job. Try to include soem humor. I am not sure how to make a connection....??? Am afraid of sounding overconfident and what kind of humor is good?
I also dont know what I should wear, in the past I just wear a long dress that looks formal and smart and a shoter hijab.I have never worn western clothes just my muslim gear.  I did think about wearing a suit but i dont think i can make that transition, i dont know if i should wear formal trousers and a long top, with a formal long jacket that covers my top.
Another thing i am not sure of is; should i shake hands of male in an interivew panel, in the past i have said something like because i am a muslim i dont pratice shaking hands of men. but i find this to create a barrier before we even start the interview. i know the purpose of shaking hands is just to be polite and making a welcoming gesture. but sisters i have spoken to say it is haraam you cant do it under any circumstances.
Can someone please advice me what is the best thing to do and give me some of there experiences.

That's a good point.  What do you think about putting your hand to your heart and saying I'm honored to meet you (as well)?
