| [slm] Q1) Is Hajj ul Akbar when Arafa'a is on Friday or when Eid ul Adha is on Friday??? I always confuse this. Q2) What does the Hadith say about deciding the day of Eid ul Adha? DOes anyone have specific hadith? Did the prophet (SAW) just go according to when the month started with the sighting of the moon and count days following??? Q3) I heard that there are two ways to sight the moon. Something about the Saudi formula of "sunset before moon set" leading to the declaration of start of the month even without the sighting of the moon. The second or classic formula being the "birth of the moon". Could someone explain this in laymans terms??? |
