| I am planning a trip to Egypt in the fall. Just in the planning stages, it's not 100%. Has anyone been there? Please tell me about it and also suggestions and advise for the traveler. Thank you |

| Yes, it is on the itinerary I am looking at. I am not 100% I can go, but I am looking into it, I have never really had a true vacation. |

| [slm] When we were kids living in Afreeka...we used to visit my uncle in Cairo alllluh time. Crazy good food. If Egypt is still the same, I think it would be a great place to go. Good luck inshaAllah.. Wasalaam. |

[/quote] lets just say its won't really mean you've been to Egypt if you don't visit the pyramids. ;) Ok. the trip that i made include places like Alexandria and Fayoum but if you can, you should include Luxor & Aswan (i didn't go for these places ??? wish i had!) and like way JO said, they got crazy good food! |

| assalaamu alaikum What in specific did you want to know? Egypt is a fantastic place - there is so much to do! Cairo, Alexandria, the Red Sea coast - i wish i could go back. How long will you be going for? My first piece of advice would be to buy the Lonely Planet Guide to Cairo (or Egypt, depending on how much travelling you want to do inside Egypt). http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1864501154/qid=1107348690/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl/026-4749378-1238821 I've noticed that Amazon.com say that they'll post it within 1-2 months, which is why i've given you the link to the UK equivalent. |
