alhamdulillah all is well with me. Allah has, as usual, been very kind to me, and all the requirements of Hajj were completed through His help alone - miracles after miracles! I will inshallah write out details when I get back home and if I have time.

This is to thank you all for the duas and good wishes. Don't stop them, because I am going to need them even more.

I was online yesterday for a while. I saw a post by sis Azizah, and it set me thinking.

Sis Azizah, and all of you, it is important to utilise our time in the way that is most beneficial for our position in the Hereafter. The non-Muslims will keep trying to divert us from our path, and we have to be careful we do not waste our time, because this commodity will not return to us.

Allah is actually al-ilah.

al means "the"

ilah means "god".

Allah = al-ilah meaning the One and Only God.

The reference to moon-goddess has been made so as to confuse Muslims with less knowledge, and it is based on "Lat", a goddess that the pagan Arabs worshipped. putting an "al" before "Lat", and using the Arabic rule of pronouncing the last taa in a female word as a "ha", this confusion has been attempted.

My advice is not to read such misleading trash any more, unless you are trying to remove doubts of family and friends.  Ask yourself if you are satisfied that there is only "One and Only" God, without any wives, sons, daughters, partners, etc. and then as a Muslim your answer will be in the affirmative, learn the way of Islam, the prayers etc, learn Arabic, read the Quran, read about the lives of the Prophet [saw] and his companions, and contemplate on the attributes of Allah because our deeds will be weighed. The time we spend will have to be answered for. If we keep spending our time in  doubts, we will never accumulate the good deeds to take us to the higher parts of Paradise.

with the best of wishes and prayers for this world and the Hereafter
