[slm] I'm tempted to play...but I work crazy hours: 7 days a week every alternate week, and 6 days a week otherwise :(  sadness. But but, I'm going to market myself by saying that I'm IN PAKISTAN...so if anyone from an OPPOSITE timezone wants to pair up, we could improve our chances of doing well. or well-ish.  Oh and...I'm an insomiac.   Yeah but that first weekend on there..I'm working 9am-8pm, both days...so .. that'll be really tough...wooh hmm..I don't know if  I should be making time for an Amazing Race :( Maybe I should quit my job..lol. JustOne, just think of the prize :)  and do you really want bhaloo to beat u?? :p and the way it works is that you have 1 week to come up with your answer for each leg of the race so inshallah u'll have time to answer

as salaamu alaykum, me and abu_hamza are still contemplating about whether we should be on the same team or opposing teams :) hmm... what do you guys think?  the thing is, if we compete against each other, and I win and he totally loses (which will be the inevitable conclusion), it might be discouraging for him, you know? ;) ;D

He'll get over it..... I don't think you two should be partners in this race. Imagine the fights if you can't agree on the answer. Imagine the fights if he submits an answer that you do not agree with and it ends up being wrong! Imagine the fights if one of you submits and entry late and you loose because of this laziness! Imagine, why Kathy is writing all of this... may be because she does not want two powerhouses of Knowledge... teamed up!

[wlm] ariteyyyyyyyy.. phil is gonna implement her (his?) reknowned matchmaker skills... i think ibs81 and mossy should be partners and i think labeeb and siddiqui should be partners (i'm still trying to browbeat siddiqui into playing but i think he'll do just fine inshallah) and as for abu hamza and 7... hmm i'll have to think of good partners for them maybe another newlywed couple could join them and form two teams of the brides versus the grooms??? [/quote] Hmmmm, that's a tough one.  But it looks like Kathy and Jannah have answered this issue and feel that you two should be separated.  I will do my part and offer my services to be Abu Hamza's partner.  This way if our team loses, he can blame me.  And since sister Azizah needs a partner, you can team up with her Se7en.   What do you guys say?

I respectfully withdrawl my request to play. I've been ill over a week. (third time in 8 weeks) Thus I am behind on business and other matters and cannot be a fair partner to anyone. I sure did want to play though. Will look in and learn as the game progresses. Everyone have fun!!!!!!!!!

Is it it too late to play?? I was fascinated by the first destination..I thought in the beginning everyone was traveling there phsyicaly. The second place I  think I know that ancient city and it's ruins....but I don't have a partner anyway..I never would have figured out the first so I would need a strong partner.

(u won't get a point for the first one of course) but u still need a partner.. i think there was a sister who posted in the Need a Partner thread who needed one... the single one's who are participating will be disqualified from winning the prize...!!!! the point of this game is to teach team-building and cooperation... just think of getting a partner as completing half ur madina-deen
