[slm] you think it is beautiful? :) you have a nice, reassuring way of complimenting old men, jannah!!! Have a chocolate bar or two for that :) We really have to have an icon for chocolate, or rather a whole range of icons, including milk chocolate and the ones with various nuts in them. I just had some Frey's chocolate that my sis brought from one of her trips. Plus I had that toffee made from peanuts and "gurr" - what do they call gurr in English? not mollasses - that is liquid while gurr is solid. You melt the gurr until it is brown, and you put peanuts in them, and then you pour it out in a tray and quickly run a knife through to make properly sized portions, before it solidifies. This is common all over Pakistan, Northern India (don't know about South India), and Bangladesh. This version is very crispy, less gurr and more peanuts. doesnt srick so much to the mouth, perhaps the gurr has burnt out a little. I am presently visiting my mom at Karachi and also to attend my niece's wedding. The wedding is over. The visit isn't. Yes, move the thread back, please, here or in the al-Manar or the Kabob corner, whichever you think is the right place. I have the next episode all lined up. When I am done with the thread, I will let you know, and when people have commented on its faults ;), you can rearchive it for next year. :) |
