What happened to 'How?'

I saw this post by sister Amatullah and while I clicked on Post reply it gave the error saying 'there is no post by that title'. And it really wasnt there. So, dont know what happened. I sent an IM to sister but it seems she logged off by then.
Any way, I thought it was an interesting link.
It is here: http://www.kalam.f2s.com/files/ppt/psychic2.html

And here is the answer that I wrote:
The solution is always a multiple of 9.
Lets say the two numbers are m and n (single digit always)
Now: mn = 10 * m + n
If we substract (m + n) from the above, we get
10 * m + n - (m + n) = 10 * m + n - m - n = 9 * m
Not taking m as zero would result in an answer of 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, or 81.
If you look at the symbols list on the right, it would always have the same symbol for all the above mentioned numbers, and surprise surprise when you click on crystal ball you see this symbol.

Take care and ma-salam

i deleted it because i got scared it might be some kind of magic. I know some people will laugh at me and there probably is might be some kind of scientific explanation for it. but i did get scared and deleted it in case it is bad.  :-[

Who said it wasn't scary again?? It scared the hell out of me. I agree with u Amatullah. I don't think there's any logical explanation for this.

Could u please explain then as to how it works, in simpler terms if possible.. lol. The inventor must have been very good at this. I'll try verifying it with Labeeb's post. But overall it was very good.

[slm] I don't remember now, but I did read a simple explanation ages ago, in a book on mathematical tricks.

Playing with numbers, and discovering that numbers turn up in some sequence or are indivisible or some some property, isn't magic. It is just mathematical games.

People were terrified because they associated all numbers, all counting, with magic.

Now, assigning numbers to the alphabet, representing names or phrases with numbers, ascribing to these numbers certain powers, or trying to predict the future from these numbers (or arrangement of the stars, or tarot cards, or the lines in your palm), woould constitute magic, and that is forbidden.

Shukran. That has cleared up a lot. Also, i checked the formula, preety clever way of playin with numbers. Anyway, Shukran again.

Looks like ppl are a bit confused (and awed) with these number games. Here is another one -
1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have dinner out. (try for more than once but less than 10).
2. Multiply this number by 2 (Just to be bold)
3. Add 5. (Just because)
4. Multiply it by 50 - don't tell me u need a calculator
5. If you have already had your birthday this year
add 1755.... If you haven't, add 1754.......
6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born. You should have a three digit number. The first digit of this was your original number (How many times you want to eat out each week.) The next two numbers are... YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it IS!!!! !)

wasalaam,
