| assalam Alaikum brothers and sisters hi im new to this forum and i am also turning to convert to islam... but first i want to learn everything about it. i ask this question many times to understand it and i was wondering if any of you who is reading this post could help me understand why muslims do not eat pork and why it is haram? thanks in advance to thoes who respond |

| Well the simple answer to your question would be "Because it is prohibited in the Quran". But I think you are asking "what is the reason for the prohibition of pork in the Quran?". | Additionally, one thing that is impossible to scientifically quantify is the impact of pork upon your soul. The only thing we have to go on with regards to that is that following the rulings given to us by Allah (swt) helps our soul, and actions against this harm it. |
