Ya Allah, I am so sorry to hear this painful news. Subhannah Allah, we get comfort from knowing the baby will be one in Paradise.

Most likely your weight gain is due to emotional eating. We get some 'feel good' chemicals released to our minds when we eat comfort food.

If you are aware of this, then you can make adjustments in your snacks. When you go to eat, ask yourself if you are really hungry, or depressed or lonely or sad. These are all common reactions to death of a child.

Sometimes we just want to munch. I find it is easy to prepare a bowl in the fridge of veggies or fruits, and when you get the urge...it is an easy grab.

One real pitfall of calories is eating infront of the TV. Sometimes I am shocked, how much food I can down in an hour show.  Do you have an hand occupying craft you like? If not, stop in the local craft store and try cross stiching.

For both mind and body health, start taking long walks. It is beneficial in soooo many ways.

Remember, you are going through a very depressing time, reach out to others, they may say some insenitive things, just try to remember they are trying to help and overlook some of their foolish comments.

May Allah swt help you through this period in your life.
