| Assalamu Alaikum! Companionships is BACK and better than ever! Please join us for a day of learning, meeting, and barbque-ing! Imam Magid is back to host his now famous program exploring the virtues of finding the special someone to share your life with. It is with great pleasure that my husband, Imam Mohamed Magid, and I, Amaarah DeCuir, are ready to announce the second annual Spring Companionships retreat! This year, we are looking forward to bringing together many of the brothers and sisters who have joined our Companionships Network. On Sunday, April 3, 2005, join us at Algonkian Regional Park in Sterling, Virginia for a full day of activities, mixers, lectures, great food, and wonderful company. And maybe, just maybe, inshAllah, you will find your true Companion here! The day begins early at 10:00 am with a Continental breakfast and Registration. Then we will continue till 8:00pm, performing our Magrib prayer in the park, inshAllah. If you did not have the opportunity to join us last Spring, visit our website to hear some of the program highlights from some of our past participants. And if you did join us last year, you must come back again! This year's program has been enhanced and improved with a better location, increased number of participants, and high quality program activities! And if weather permits, we'll enjoy an old fashioned picnic outside! Like all of our Companionships events and services, this Spring Retreat will offer an Islamic environment with a high level of professionalism. Participants will be treated with respect and dignity throughout the day. Imam Magid and I, along with the rest of the program staff, will be available throughout the retreat to assist in making informal introductions to participants who wish to meet someone in particular. By the conclusion of the day, we hope that all participants will have learned the Islamic manners of courtship, we hope that they will have a better understanding of Islamic marriage, and maybe they will have met someone of interest to them.
