| [slm] wrb, For 8-10 years old (boy and girl). My budget is not much max 100-120 dollars ( I am desi haha ;) I dont know what term for someone born in India who works there but once in a while comes to west too?) Anyway kids are abcd (no offence, just to get ideas so that I buy sth that is liked by them) By the way, for a toddler girl has anyone bought [url=http://www.hilalplaza.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=126]this[/url]? | the doll is cute, but it says ages 3 and older, maybe if you really want to get it for the toddler (i think that is around 2 years old, right?)maybe her parents can save it for another year.... for the other kids, i don't know about boys, i always hated shopping for guys, but for the girl, get her some nice costume jewlery for her shalwar khamises, or if u know her size, maybe a nice fancy outfit for the next eid or wedding.... |

| [wlm] wrb sister and jazak Allah khair. Yeah, a toddler is about 2 years old. Do you think it is not appropriate/advisable to pass on 3+ toy. I dont know - we arent so meticulous on this, atleast in my native place. Well, thanks for pointing that out. I wanted to buy over the internet or sth as I can only post it now. | Assalamo elikuim For boys 8-10 years, if they are into vedeo games etc, you can buy some games for them , but you need to check if they already have a nentendo,gamecube or gameboy. The games are ussually around $30 but sometime you can good games on on sale also. Make sure to check their rating also (E is for everyone and then there is teen etc. (I tell my kids that for us teen means when you are in your late 20s :) )). There are lot of games which I dont think are approperite for kids( grown up as well :) ) There are legos(aircraft carriers,space ships etc) or kinex etc if they are into building things. ALso once I bought a very nice science kit(light bulb etc) from TJ Max for my then 9 year old. For girls 8-10 , it depends on what they like, you said that you will be coming from India? May be nice shalwar qameez or bangels/jewelery? Or may be some computer software for them (if they are into computers) For a toddler, how about some learning leapfrog type toys? Wasalam tq |
