When we were younger we would not make drawings of animals or people without putting a line through the neck. We don't hang photos of animals or people either since it is not allowed. We were told that Allah will tell us to blow life into these creations of ours in the hereafter.
How about soft toys??? They are figures too. Is it not a good idea. Has there been any previous discussions on this???

Aisha (ra) had dolls and the Prophet used to watch her playing with them, without objecting or making a ruling.
So, no, as toys I don't think they are haram.
