"The most truthful of words is the words of Allah The best guidance is that of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) The best of communities is that of Prophet Ibrahim That most worthy of remembrance is the remembrance of Allah The best way of life is the sunnah of the Prophet (pbuh) The most glorious death is the death of the martyr The most wretched of blindness is going astray after finding righteousness." Prophet Muhammad (SAW) "Oh you who believe! When you meet a force, be firm, and call Allah in remembrance often so you may prosper. And obey Allah and His Messenger; And fall into no disputes, lest you lose heart and your power depart; And be patient and persevering, for Allah is with those who patiently persevere." [Qur'an 8: 45-46] Muslims are NOT a lost people; Allah gives us hedaya/guidance and direction for all sicknesses of the heart. In this verse Allah is ordering the believers what to do when in times of difficulty. We should stand firm. Success is not merely how smart you are, it is how you bounce back up after a difficulty. "Hold onto the rope of Allah jamian/together, and be not divided." No matter how many times they hit you, stick to the goal and get back up. "Ye have indeed in the Messenger of Allah a beautiful pattern (of conduct) for any one whose hope is in Allah and the Final Day, and who engages much in the Praise of Allah. When the Believers saw the Confederate forces, they said: "This is what Allah and his Messenger had promised us, and Allah and His Messenger told us what was true." And it only added to their faith and their zeal in obedience. Among the Believers are people who have been true to their covenant with Allah. Of them some have completed their vow (to the extreme), and some (still) wait: but they have never changed (their determination) in the least." [Qur'an 33: 21-23] Muslims are going through tough times today. People are opposing the beautiful Islam. We don't even hear the truth on the media but truth will prevail. Once, while being surrounded by enemy forces he encouraged his followers with unforeseen victories of the future; thus inpiring his followership and motivating them with a sense of hope. The sunnah is thus more than just praying, sunnah is also about hope and optimism. The Prophet was the most optimistic of all. Make dua'a to Allah for there is nothing we can ask that Allah cannot deliver. We ask Allah to change this world from a world of fitna/corruption to a world of ihsan/good. |
