Reading the post sister azizah wrote made me think about my own childhood... and how As a child you think of he strangest things.... right? (Or is it just me?)
-Like how clouds are marshmallows, or something. I thought clouds were solid and I remember I was really  :o shocked to find out the reality of it when on plane we went right through it. I mean, I thought we would go around it or something.... ;D
-Like how there are little people inside television sets, and only if your parents would let you, you could open up the screen and they would come out. Especially cartoons, or home videos of yourself or something
   -Monsters under the bed?
-"If you eat your veggies, you'll grow up nice and strong" My mom tried EVERYTHING in the history of bribes and threats to make me eat my veggies. The onyl one that worked was when she said if i eat veggies i'll sprout wings and will be able to fly . :P
-Once when i was little i took my mom's makeup set and "beautified" my little sister... complete.. with lipstick nailpolish eyeshadow, the lot. she ended up looking more like a creature from the Black Lagoon than Barbie, but I had tried my best. Then I sneaked her into the bathroom trying to wash it all off... ::)

So what did YOU guys think/do when you were little?

thats true...me as a child we a whackjob.. ???..I used to think that if u have to take an airplane to go somewhere...that place has to be in the skies...only places on land were where we can go by cars/buses/trains  etc.

I remember once after my grandma had passed away, my mom was brining me n my bro back from school and i guess she was trying to explain to us why our grandma is not with us anymore..(i was like 3 at the most at that time..yes i rem it)and so she was saying that grandma has gone to Allah Tala now...and since the idea was that Allah lives in the sky...I looked up at the sky and agreeingly said...yeaaaa...ammi i can see her legs... :-[ i have been reminded this story a lot since.

I have a friend who told me that when she was little, when she saw someone nursing a baby she thought there was milk on one side and coffee on the other  ;D

My momma told me that chocolate milk came from brown cows.

I defended this postion until second grade..... (I have been in therapy for years over this...)

I thought eyeballs were attached to curly springs like in the cartoons and that if someone hit me in the side of the head my eyes would SPROOOIIIINGGGG out and just hang there.

My sister told me Fig Newtons were made of crushed up worms and that the crunchiness in them was bits of worm bones.  To this day I don't get into Fig Newtons.

When my mom told me about the facts of life I got them all messed up in my head and thought there was a fish involved in the process.  Now *that* was some confusion. Dopey kid :D

When we were younger, my brother used to tell me, if I swallow a seed of a particular fruit and drink water afterwards, I would grow that fruit in my stomach.  Now that I think about it, he probably believed it himself.

yeah me too... one day the curiosity got better of me and i ate a watermelonseed and asked my mom if i looked green to her and she was liek :o what?? i thought it would grw insideme too
I also thought that if i ate a fish it would start swimming inside me
I also thought that the chicken that you eat could have any amount of legs.. like a REAL chicken only has 2 legs but if u cook it it could have 3 or 4. see  i like the leg part of the chicken when i was young and once my dad made 1 chicken. and i ate both legs and i wanted more so i aske..
"This chicken only has two legs, right?

Oh my God brother Salem that is just hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing. I also thought that if u swallowed a watermelon seed a watermelon will grow in ur stomach. I used to live in saudia when I was little and my daddy went to usa for a visit and when he came back he told me when it rains in america then u can see the tails of some of the care bears and u can also see some peeking from the clouds. When we moved to the US man, I couldnt even find one! And oh my gosh, i beleived in the tooth fairy until i was 13 which is pretty naive of me.
