Sick/Injured?

Salam,

A few years ago I read a hadith (?) which said that if someone does not experience minor
injuries/sickness, he/she should be worried because Allah might not love him/her. When I
read that, I cried...a lot...because until then I hardly ever got sick or injured.

Anyway, for about a year I have continously been getting sick/injured...and it's
beginning to scare me. When one thing ends, another one begins...cuts, burns, stomach flus, weird
rashes, coughs, colds, abcesses, weird swellings, acne (i'm too old for acne to start
appearing suddenly)...it's just scary.

Should I make Taubah for being ungrateful for the good health Allah had given me before?
If so, how do I do this exactly?

Thank you.

[slm] It is true that whatever sufferings we go through are either expiation (atonement) of our sins, or for increase i our station in the Hereafter.

You should indeed have thanked Allah (swt) for the good health (and everything) you enjoyed. Even when you are terribly and continuously sick/ ill, you still have a lot to be grateful for.

First, start your blessings, let us see whether you are able to realise what you still have?

As for tauba, it is easy, but it has to come from the heart. say istaghfaar:

astagfirullah

say this all the time, but feel it.

astaghfirullahaldhi la ilaha illa huwal Hayyul Qayyum wa atoobu ileh

Rabbighfir waRham wa anta Kheirur Rahimeen

and Syedul Istaghfaar

May Allah (swt) give you complete shifa, and make your suffering so far a complte expiation of your sins, and an increase in your station to the highest in Jannatul Firdaus.

aameen

and start using honey (one teaspoonful mixed in a cup of warm water) and black seeds (small number, say upto 11) first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach. Do not eat for at least half an hour.
