Online arabic classes

I'm thinking about giving online Arabic classes using either PalTalk or the Whiteboard feature of MSN.  I'm not an Arabic expert, but know enough to teach it, and also have some idea of how to teach it well (I was taught latin in school.  Once you learn latin, you can learn and teach any language).  If I get at least 5 people interested I'll do it.  Minimum requirement would be ability to read arabic text, even if you can't understand it.

I am now in a position to start online arabic classes in a couple of weeks Inshallah.  I wanted to let you all know exactly how I'm going to do this and other relevant details.

1. The minimum requirment is to be able to recognize and pronounce arabic letters as used in the Quran.

2. We will be using MSN Messenger as the communication method.  In each class, I will be inviting all the students to an MSN conversation.  So download it and start familirizing yourself with it if you're not already a user.  And also give me your MSN identifiers.

3. The classes will be held at 8AM Sunday morning Eastern Time.  Eastern time is 5 hours behind England, and 9 hours behind  Pakista (in the autumn, this will become 10 hours behind Pakistan).  Each class will be 1 hour long.  I will Inshallah be saving the transcript of each class if anyone has to miss a class, though I would prefer everyone tries to utmost not to.

4. Sorry to say this, but there will be a slight cost.  I am planning to use a piece of software called Arabic Editor for purposes of writing arabic in the class. It costs $39 US, and is available at http://www.summitsoft.co.uk.  You can trust paying by credit card at this site.  A free version is available but does not allow you to write a couple of the arabic letters, and so would be pretty useless for this class.  Inshallah this will be the ONLY cost.

5. The class will be aimed at teaching arabic grammar and vocabulary which will alllow you, Inshallah, at the end of the course, to be able to translate the Quran into English with the aid of a dictionary.

6. The start date, tentatively, will be Sunday 15th May Inshallah.

Assalam Alaikum

Ok, after hearing from a couple of people, I'm now changing the requirement to purchase Arabic Editor.  For now, just downloading the free version will be sufficient to take the class.
