[/center] The Fiqh of Nikah & Marital Intimacy will cover the following issues - [u]The Authority of a Guardian (wali) in Marriage:[/u] • Forced Marriages, • Arranged Marriages in Islam, • Going against parent’s wishes for marriage, • And other rules concerning guardianship [u]Marriage Contracts:[/u] • How to draw up a written contract of marriage, • Stipulating conditions at the time of marrying, • Husband delegating the right of divorce to his wife at the time of marriage, [u]Rules Concerning the Dowry:[/u] • The minimum and maximum amount for dowry, • The recommended amount for dowry, • Status of the dowry in marriages resulting in divorce, • Gifts given at the time of marriage, [u]Rules Concerning Intimate relationship between Spouses:[/u] • Detailed and thorough explanation on the do’s and don’ts of bedroom behaviour, • How to spend the first night of Marriage • The guidance of the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) regarding intimacy with one’s spouse, • Islamic viewpoint on family planning, • Abortion in Islam, A detailed discussion on these topics will be given in light of the Qur’an, Sunnah, and the classical books of Fiqh including renowned classical text al-Mukhtasar of Imam al-Quduri.
