as-salaam, Can someone please post the hadith which goes something like this: You are not a true Muslim until you wish for your brother what you wish for yourself. I went thru something that made me realize the true value of this. I found out about a job and I told my friends. So, in all there were about 8 total applications turned in because of me telling. In the end, I found out that they had to cut off a lot of potential people for the job, and I was one of them. So then the selfish part took over me and I started wondering if I really should've told my friends or not??? But, after a while it hit me. I have nothing to lose beacuse I was intending good for my friends. I think this was a test from Allah-- a way of teaching an important lesson. What do you think? Has anyone had an experience like this? |

[slm] The hadith: Narrated Anas(RA): The Prophet [saw] said, "None of you will have faith till he wishes for his (Muslim) brother what he likes for himself." (Bukhari, Book #2, Hadith #12) [wlm] |
