Questions for jannah and others

1. Why did the Tatars manage to overrun the kingdom of Khwarzim, and subsequently almost all of the Asian Muslim states that they invaded.

2. Why did the Muslims lose in Spain, to the extent that many had to convert, and eventually face expulsion?

3. How come the northern coast of the Mediterranean became bereft of Muslims.

4. Why did the Muslims again face defeat at the hands of the non-Muslim powers, European as well as Asian, thus becoming colonies? Among the victims you can include the Muslim kingdoms in Combodia, VietNam, Thailand, and on Africa, which were not colonised by the Europeans?

5. What happened to the Muslim communities under non-Muslim rule in Australia (the Baloch), the Americas (before Columbus), the Balkans, Italy, the Soviet Union.

6. Why again do you think the decolonisation has been in name only, and no Muslim country has emerged that can successfully ward off invasion.
_________

7. What have been the causes for schism in Islam and the emergence of mutually-warring sects?

8. How come the rights of the common man and minorities been usurped in Muslim majority areas, and was there resistance to this; if so why did it not succeed?

9. This is related to 8. What has led to the loss of rights of women in Muslim communities?

Your thoughts please, and if you have links to articles and analyses on the net, please provide these.

Thanks
