| [slm].... I was inspired while responding to another post and so decided to start this thread. Cause you know....we can all learn from it. So don't laugh, OK? I was curious (stupid) when I was a kid so in reading my science book about the growth of plants, well....I love watermelon. So I decided to grow some of my own.....in my stomach. Yup. True story. So what I did was eat some fresh soil from the garden and then ate 3 watermelon seeds and more soil then I would stand out in the sun before school and after school for a few miniutes, sometimes with my mouth open so it would grow faster. I mean what better then to have watermelons in your stomach already instead of waiting for Mom to go to the store to buy some. Anyways, a few days later, my stomach started to wierd things and I was starting to feel some pain and burning sensation that I freaked out cause then I started having extremely "runny stools". I thought that I ate too many watermelon seeds so my body wouldn't be able to handle them all and so I thought that my stomach was going to explode and went crying to Mom who just laughed at me and gave some pink medicine. So then that didn't help much and so she went to my Uncle and told him what I did which he then just laughed at me too and made me drink some kind of wierd thick oily clear thing which made me throw up all day instead and that did it. I was going to live and never did I eat soil or seeds ever again. Except now I eat poppy seeds in my muffins. BUT that's it! See these aren't embarassing moients....there is a difference. | oh wow i expected more replies! I know this thread is old, and it's kinda late to reply, but I was one of those kids who thought they could do anything they wanted to do so ignoring the color wheel, I decided to 'create' a color that no one has ever seen before. My chance came when my dad bought lots of little samples of paint to see which one would suit the kitchen. hehehe So i mixed them all up, and quite obviously it became this muddy icky brownish color and my hopes were crushed and my dad yelled at me too. lol |
