| slm, I really hate Time these last couple of years.. They always have racist articles on "Islamic" issues. They are always written with an extreme bias. And it's like the ordinary American reading them would have no idea how biased they are, they just think they are getting "educated", that's how insiduous it is!! Anyways the pics were nice even if the commentary was dumb |

| wlm, thanx for the link.. well it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be.. it just seems kind of bewildered... like ppl who have no idea what islam or muslims are about went into a school and are trying to figure things out. it's interesting that they are harping on "assimilation" and "integration". its like they're trying really hard to find the differences between muslims and americans and trying to find out how the islamic school "opresses" its students... what i liked is how they highlighted some of the muslim fears and issues around 9/11 and how the principal gave them unprecendented access to the school and the students.. i think in the end that is good because it gives a truer picture of our problems even if it doesn't look too great on our part... |
