New electronic gadgets

[slm] So what are some of the new and cool electronics out there?  You know stuff like IPODS, High definition DVD technology, new CPUs (Intel vs. AMD), etc?  There is so much stuff to talk about. I'm looking for an mp3 player to play a cd in my car, its actually a tafsir of the Quran.  I was thinking of getting one of those portable dvd player with a build in mp3 player, its much cheaper then those IPODs.  Ideas, hints, suggestions?  Alternatives?
