| Assalaam Allaikum All. Hope this doesn't sound silly :D but I need help thinking up a name. A puppy have waited for to be born has arrived. This is a Tibetan Mastiff for sheep and goats as a livestock guardian dog. The breeder has each litter start with a certain letter. This litter has to have a name that starts with AA Can be any language. Any suggestions? Would like name ideas with meanings such as guardian, protector, one who watches over. One who keeps things safe. And it is a female so a fem name. Thank you in advance for all suggestions. This could be real fun to see what you all come up with. |

when fully grown, will it be any where the size of a napoleon mastiff? those dogs are huge, they're supposed to be the arnold schwarzenegger's of the dog world. ok, how about these names for now: 1. athena 2. apocalypse (if you mess with a mastiff, this is what'll happen) |

| Brother Muslim, I really like Aakifah and the meaning. Is this Arabic? How is it pronounced? This is a breed worthy of such a name and are wonderful livestock guardian dogs. Ok everyone I need 2 A names that go together. Like A***** Aakifah or Aakifah A****** Something that goes together. Keep going with the suggestions please. I like Aakifan so something that would go nicely with that. |

| [slm] So, you're just looking for arabic/islamic names? Aakifah is an arabic word and it's from 'Itikaf' (the number of hours, day or days you intend to dedicate spending in a masjid worshiping Allah {swt}. |
