Assalamu Alikum

I'm fed up with working and thinking of leaving work and doing an Islamic Course.  Does anybody know where a good place to study Islam/Arabic is? I dont want to learn on-line but actually go somewhere to learn and see new things.   I heard Syria runs good courses but have no idea where to look.

Any suggestions/idea would be much appreciated.   :)

wlm,

whoa i know some people who were frustrated with their jobs and they just quit and wanted to 'get away from it all', so they went overseas, but seriously anyone who is interested in taking islamic courses should really think about it, the committment and plan it out

some people go for a short time and when they come back there are alot of problems in getting a job again and re-adjusting and they can't go back to their lives the same.. everything is different, the place, friends, family, society..

in my personal opinion, i don't recommend going overseas unless its either a "vacation, experiential" kind of short term thing, where you have a summer free or a couple months between semesters or jobs... or if its a real life-time commitment and you plan to study islam overseas and other places for the next 5+ years

so first figure out your goals and what you want to do and then try to plan it out practically.. do all the research on all the places and what they offer.. then you can make an educated decision and work towards your goals
