| slm, peeps guess what! alhamdulillah i got offered another job here... so now i have some time between jobs.. maybe a week or two so... if you could go anywhere in the world where would it be?? and remember this is a girl traveling alone so its gotta be a place where there are mozlims at i think or where there's some kinda program/tour?? |

| congrats.. anywhere in the world? well go far away.. malaysia or indonesia.. you can go to zaytuna or houston any weekend.. if far east is too wild and too far then may be goto Istanbul. you dont need any organized tours to see the city.. just need a sense of adventure and good walking shoes and stomach to eat lots of kabobs and lungs to smoke lots of nergilli. and a cup of tea wont hurt either between the kabobs and nergilli.. good luck.. here's a picture to motivate you.. |

[slm] I'm a bit late in replying (not been in the Madina for a while) so don't know if you've already gone, but thought i'd make a few suggestions anyway. You could always come to the UK cos there are lots of Mozlems here (including me, ahem!) and there's lots of beautiful landscapes and loads to see and do. I also know a lot of people across the country who would be happy to meet you and show you around places if you needed some company :-* But if you want some guaranteed sunshine (which i understand) you could go to Morocco...really beautiful country, and I still have some contacts here who I'm sure would be willing to act as a guide for you :-) (though I'm not so sure I'd recommend women travelling alone here) There's also andalucia (i just came back from there a few weeks ago). I'd say it's generally safe for women to travel alone, but i also know some Muslim women there who you could meet...in fact, when i went a few years ago to Granada some women offered rooms in their homes for Muslim women travellers to stay in, so i could find out about that for you. The Muslim community there is really nice. And it is a must-visit destination. 8) It'll be good to know where you decide to go, but let me know if you do need any more information, tree |
