| Asalaamu Alaikum Wr Wb There is something I want to do, and I finally (will try to do) it's just how do you do it? How do you "feel" the need to read, or get addicted to reading? I'm starting to become interested in literature and etc., but I feel the need for reading for my own sake. It's just that HOW do I ENJOY reading!?! Seems boring, but I know it's somewhat interesting... how did you become interested in reading and etc.? (Wow, I wrote "reading" 4x) :D Walaikum Aslaam :) |

| start off by getting yourself to sit down and read for 10 minutes a day....just choice something that is light, not to hard, and big print always works for me...than build up to 15 minutes, 20 minutes, and so forth...inshAllah as long as you what your reading is worth your time and for the right intention, inshAllah it will become easier for you... |

| [slm] First of all choose a really good book. What kind of books do you like to read. If you're just talking about light reading, try a courtroom or law story (John Grisham type) or something like the DaVinci Code, which I highly recommend, something that you can really get interested in, once you actually start, you'll find it hard to stop. The most important thing is to choose something you're interested in. |

| I am to busy to read much and find myself falling asleep and waking up with my face in a book. :D I do alot of activites and driving so I try to get everything I am interested on CD or cassette. (I have a cd player in the truck and a cassette one in the car) The libraries also usually have an amazing sellection of audio books to rent. The book stores have a lot also to buy. And truck stops usually have a large sellection cause trucker use them. It make walking on the thread mill easier also when listening with the head phones. Winters are great, a cup of hot tea or Hot Choc, a warm blanket and a good book.......... talk about realaxing. |

| Asalaamu Alakium Nooooo! I don't like that court justice stuff or those thrillers. They don't interest me, I'm more of a comedy guy. I also like Shakespeare and Hamlet (I thought that was cool.) I love stories that deal with imagination like ... oh how do I explain it. Anyways, I read two books already! Addicting stuff. Oh yeah, and I like gothic novels as well - spooky stuff. haha.. "spooky" Walaikum Salam P.S. That justice stuff ... ewwww lol (just kidding) |
