| It is getting close to harvest time. What's in your garden? :-* And if you don't have one what would be in yours if you did? |

| Asalaamu Alaikum Actually, my garden is partially dead. From the cherry tree, to the apple tree, and to the blooming pear tree in my backyard. The only thing that is growing is the pear tree. Hmph. (And the mints are still growing - maybe.) Walakum Asalaam :-* |

| [slm] Pears, but Fatima has practically plucked all the pears hanging within her little grasp, she keeps bringing me pears going 'mummy apple' ::) For my first born there are only four fruits, banana, apple, orange and grapes all other fruits fall within these categories..... Wassalaam |

| [slm] we have tomatoes...and lots and lots of them..Mashallah..we also have green chillies, mint and cherry tomatoes..we had raspberries for a month and cilantro too.. :) plz dont think that i know gardening..my mom in law does all that..i just take pics :D |

| [slm], My garden is all flowers, shrubs and trees except for cherry tomatoes (tons this year) and red currents (hardly any this year). Now that the cooler weather of August is here, my flowers are much happier - that long, hot drought was not to their liking (nor mine!). Just moved most of my irises into their own bed, they were getting too invasive in the other flower beds. Insha'allah, next spring they will make a spectacular display! Right now, my cardinal flowers (very tall, very red) are just gorgeous - the hummingbirds love them! My phlox and glads are just finishing. The brown-eyed susans, cosmos, white coneflowers and false sunflowers are really loaded with blooms. Roses had quite a time this year - insects! They are all just now starting to really flower well. I have 5 different kinds of roses and love them all, but the rugosa's are my very favorite - their fragrance is so lovely. Something I wish I had in the garden? It would be nice to have a small pond...maybe someday, insha'allah! Happy gardening all! Peace, ummziba. |
