Qur'anic Arabic Question

Not sure where to post this but...

Does anyone know the term given to phrases in the Qur'an such as "Verily, Allah is the Hearer, the Knower", "And Allah is the Forgiving, Merciful", "And Allah is the Eminent, the Wise"?

These phrases are found at the end of many verses in the Qur'an and I once heard a shaykh explaining that there is a specific Arabic linguistic term given to these phrases in the Qur'an, but unfortunately I have forgotten the term. Anyone know? This has been literally bugging me for months!

Hmm, not sure if that's the same thing I was thinking about. The term I was thinking of (if there is such a term) was not  pertaining to the linguistic structure but the content of the phrase, e.g Allah stating His Attributes and Names. The point the scholar was making at the time was that these statements are not "random", and that they are placed in every verse for reasons. Recently I have been trying to reflect on these statements and subhanallah there is so much wisdom in them. Usually one just passes over them, but if one really thinks about it, e.g. the significance of Allah stating he is Ghanniy and Haliim in such and such verse, it brings this whole new added meaning to the verse.

So this has been on my mind, and it was frustrating me because I keep on saying to myself, "ah another of those statements which I do not remember the name of."

Anyways, there's a lesson to be learned in all of this. Recently I was listening to an online lecture giving advice to those seeking knowledge. One of the advices the shaykh gave was to never go anywhere without pen and paper. Don't leave home without it! Inshallah, one of these days I'l learn my lesson :)
