Isn't it funny how life never goes as one dreams, hopes and plans?

Today Sept. 9th would of been my 28th wedding anniversary
had my childrens father and I stayed married.

28 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The boys are now 26 and 27
I am feeling very old today.
And I am not yet (almost) 44.
I'm a grandma.
Remember when I was all excited and announced my granddaughter
was due and then she was born?
Can you believe she will be 2 next week?
And my youndest sons, son!!!!!! He will be 1 next month.
Seems like they were born just yesterday.

And aging, let me tell you,
I already feel I have more limits than I did 5 and 10 and 20 years
ago physically. But my mind and heart don't feel as old as my body does.
hmmmmmmmm(sigh)
I am told I am considered middle aged.
MIDDLE AGED????????????
NO way my spirit and mind says.
NO WAY  :D

Interesting. My son got married yesterday. The nikah was in a masjid, and the Qazi was pleasantly surprised at the renewal of a Sunnah of the prophet, that the masjid had been reistated as a centre for this activity.

The thing that was mising was that women should also have been there, of course in a separate section, and the rights and obligations of the nikah should have been explained to them as well.

Maybe, this will catch on here.

Today is the rukhsati, we bring my daughter-in-law home today, and tomorrow is the walima, inshaAllah
