I have asked several imams about this dream, and have gotten a different answer from each one. jazakum Allah khair. |

Assalamu' Alaikum, There are three types of dreams actually, one is from Allah SWT and one is from Shaytan, and the last one is from the self (nafs) , so our beloved Prophet Muhammad [saw] said : "whomever had a bad dream -- please do not share it with others, but if you can wake up and pray two rakat, then make du'aa and seek refuge in Allah from the Shaytan. Well, there is also a ruling that says if you dream of dead people specially the Prophet Muhammad [saw] that these dreams are indeed TRUE dreams. Because when someone sees a dead person in his/her dream -- they are actually in the same exactly state that you saw them etc... ya3ni in other words if we saw them in a good state this means he/she is really in a good state and thus are happy now in their grave and so forth. I hope this helps in sha Allah. [wlm] |

[slm] I have dreams about my mom and aunt alot. Weird. Dreams about my mom are usually bad and my aunt is always good. One strikingly memorable dream I had was when I was wondering if I should marry my first husband. My most loved grandfather was sitting in a chair, in a dark room with the traditional single light bulb over his head. He said I would never find any one better. This dream was over 17 years ago and it is still vivid in my mind. |
