| salaam, This is so scary... look at the path.. http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/40830000/gif/_40830316_hurricane_rita7_map416.gif it's going to just narrowly miss houston.. they've reversed some major highways there so all lanes go north... how freaky is that... a week ago houston was giving aid to the victims and feeding them and now they too are fleeing. I'm glad my sister and bro-in-law aren't there but it's very worrying for all those ppl. InshaAllah they make it all out safely so that no one gets hurt. Anyone feel like there is a higher meaning on this.. for everyone in the US to re-evaluate their values and priorities.. and inshaAllah stop the war in Iraq and elsewhere and start concentrating on problems at home. |

| [slm] well, my cousin lives in Galvaston and has had to evacuate ..her, her husband and four kids!!! yikes.. pretty much just boarded up and left their house to drive up to new york to stay with her father in yonkers. Go figure. Pick up and leave. WHo knows what will happen to her home and all she has come to love down there. Only ALlah knows eh. There has to be a higher meaning Jannah- but what is it? I think it's an individual thing . Governments wont' necessarily find the spiritual meaning... Take note of ones' priorities. When the house is gone, the car, the money and jewels, the job.. What's left? That's the core of you! anyhow salaam! |

| Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah It is very scary and I feel really really sorry for the people who have to leave their homes and especially for the people who got separated from their children during Katrina. But... This was the headline on MSN this afternoon: "Rita appears headed for heart of fuel industry" |
