[slm] One Woman's Jihad by Jean Boyd The Caliph's Sister also by Jean Boyd Both books are about Nana Asma'u daughter of Uthman dan Fodio. Masha'allah she was an amazing woman. Poet, scholar, historian, and much more. Famous Women in Islam is a set of CDs by Dr Umar Abdullah. Islam: Empowering of Women by Aisha Bewley has short bios of alot of women who've contributed in various arenas. Early Sufi Women by Rkia Cornell also contains alot of bios. But they might be earlier than you're looking for. |
