| Asalaamu alaykum... Just introducing myself. I'm Amelia, I'm from the UK and I converted two years ago (man, I feel old!). I'm currently a semi-professional juggler: medical degree, home, husband, mosque activities etc etc... Am glad to part of the community! Bye for now... |

| [wlm] reverts... we get everywhere, alhamdulillah! I was a strong Christian until I came to uni and decided to look into other faiths. I tried Buddhist meditation, various 'breeds' of churches, the bahai faith.... and some islamic lectures! I'd always been taught in church that Muslims were pretty low, and virtually 'unsaveable', God forgive me. But they turned out to be really nice.... intelligent... normal!! It took a year or so, but everything started to click into place. Saying my shahada wasn't very exciting really... just a statement of things I'd believed for a long time. Meaningful though! Anyone else want to share their story? |
