bathroom problem

what do other ladies about the bathroom small carpets expecialy the one under the sink? It gets so wet and cold and I usually put a towel on top and change it often but it is still not a solution and it doesn't feel good.

What do all the people who make wudu do? when you go to people's house it is just that (only the carpet) I removed the towel when someone is coming. is there something they do to keep it healthier but remove before we come over?

What is the secret to get rid of this?

For over 13 years I have tried to stop my hubby from being an elephant with water when making wudu. gosh.. there is water everywhere. One Sis said that in Arabia, it evaporates so quickly, they never learn to wipe up.

I have given in....

What I do is have a towel on the floor, that can be easily changed. Over the bathroom door is the nice company rug I put down when unexpected company comes.

Maybe you could only put down the rug when you are using the sink and then fold it up and put it out of the way when you're not using it? If other family members are getting the rug so wet, it's probably not a high priority to them and they might even prefer not having a rug at all. Plus, without the rug, maybe the wet floor will dry faster.  And if not, it'll be easier to deal with than a wet yucky rug topped by a wet yucky towel!   ;)

This is my pet hate, our bathroom has a lino on it, I use very cheap, hand towels, which I put down, and wash at the the end of the day. Whenever I go into the bathroom I tend to wipe the bathroom floor, ring the towel and put it back down again. In the evening (after Esha), I change the towel, so there's a fresh crisp dry towel for Fajar time.
I can't do without the towel, as in winter the floor gets really, really cold (OK so I'm a wimp).

This was really bad when my in-laws came to stay, and I found myself changing towels twice sometimes three times a day. However my nephew has curbed his desire to create home made floods every time he does the wudu. I think he feels sorry for me ad my obssesive cumpulsive desire for all things neat and dry.

Don't even get me started on the toilet.....

As-salaamu alaykum,
Ummm, I've never had a wet bathroom rug. I make my husband use flip flops in the bathroom
(and only in the bathroom! I've somehow even curbed his habit of using the same flip
flops in other places in the house, alhamdulillah! I hate that).

So bottom line, keep some flip flops (or whatever) near or in the bathroom. I feel it's
the hygienic way to go. Nobody wants to step onto a wet rug. :)

About the wet countertop, I keep a sponge on the sink, so I just wipe up my mess after
making wudu'. Makes life so simple (and dry!).

Just moved into a new place, and I have to say, I *love* having separate bathrooms,
alhamdulillah! Of course, mine can pass for the guest bathroom and his can pass for the
umm...boys' room.
:)

How about doing the wudu in the tub? Get into flip flops when getting out of the tub. Removing flip flops when out of bathroom and wiping damp feet on rug placed conveniently outside bathroom.
