| here are some of the images i found very powerful... there is one i won't post as it is too graphic and the hardest to look at- it is of a number of bodies shrouded in white in a mass grave with some muslim men looking down on them :( inna lillah wa inna ilaihi rajeeon |

| [slm] Inna lillah wa inna ilaihi rajeeon I think you should post the grave one. It is good to remind us that death is near, nearer than we know. I may be wierd, but now that I perform the janazah wash and shroud, I look at it in such a different light. When I saw that picture, I was amazed that amongst all this rubble and decay, they cared enough about their Islam to find pristine white cloth. Then I was thinking al Humdullillah, they died Muslim. (Perhaps because I am a revert, this is something I am always thinking about and so grateful for). All around them was grey, destroyed buildings, people in desperate living cirumstances, yet their they are laid out, almost peaceful looking. Soon to be questioned and to get their reward. May Allah swt make thier graves spacious. |
