Poem by American Judge who stood for something

My daughter-in-law just emailed this to me.
I love Allah and I love my country. Over the years the saying
In God we trust seemed to be ajoke the way my country is heading.

Now I don't want to offend anyone, I am hoping this will touch the hearts of other American Muslims.
This is our country also, we have responsabilities and the right to vote too.
I hope if this touches your heart and soul the way it has mine you'll pass it on.

I know if says God and not Allah, they are one in the same only difference is
God is English and Allah is Arabic.

here goes:

POEM BY JUDGE ROY MOORE
> > The following is a poem written by Judge Roy Moore from Alabama. Judge
> >Moore was sued by the ACLU for displaying the Ten Commandments in his
> >courtroom foyer. He has been stripped of his judgeship and now they are
> >trying to strip his right to practice law in Alabama. The judge's poem
sums it up quite well.
> >
> > America the Beautiful,
> > or so you used to be.
> > Land of the Pilgrims' pride;
> > I'm glad they'll never see.
> >
> > Babies piled in dumpsters,
> > Abortion on demand,
> > Oh, sweet land of liberty;
> > your house is on the sand.
> >
> > Our children wander aimlessly
> > poisoned by cocaine,
> > Choosing to indulge their lusts,
> > when God has said abstain.
> >
> > From sea to shining sea,
> > our Nation turns away
> > From the teaching of God's love
> > and a need to always pray.
> >
> > We've kept God in our temples,
> > how callous we have grown.
> > When earth is but His footstool,
> > and Heaven is His throne.
> >
> > We've voted in a government
> > that's rotting at the core,
> > Appointing Godless Judges
> > who throw reason out the door,
> >
> > Too soft to place a killer
> > in a well deserved tomb,
> > But brave enough to kill a baby
> > before he leaves the womb.
> >
> > You think that God's not angry,
> > that our land's a moral slum?
> > How much longer will He wait
> > before His judgment comes?
> >
> > How are we to face our God,
> > from Whom we cannot hide?
> > What then is left for us to do,
> > but stem this evil tide?
> >
> > If we who are His children,
> > will humbly turn and pray;
> > Seek His holy face
> > and mend our evil way:
> >
> > Then God will hear from Heaven
> > and forgive us of our sins,
> > He'll heal our sickly land
> > and those who live within.
> > But, America the Beautiful,
> > if you don't - then you will see,
> > A sad but Holy God
> > withdraw His hand from Thee.
> >
> > ~Judge Roy Moore
> >
> > Pass this on and let's lift Judge Moore up in prayer. He has stood
firm and needs our support.

Please copy and paste and send to your family and friends and other forums, if you feel as I do I hope you'll all show your support for this man who was brave enough to stand for what he believes in even in the face of losing his career, May Allah make things easy for him. Ameen

a very touching poem and how true his words are...

dark forces are stripping him of his livelihood for daring to speak the truth and caring about his religion, yet nothing is done when the President said that God told him to invade afghanistan and iraq?

isn't he trying to uphold God's command just like the President?

what hypocrisy...these people have no shame...

is there a petition to sign on the Judges behalf?

Brother I am unaware of any petition.
This poem has touched my heart and soul so much I am
trying to figure a way to have our voices heard.

I thought about  asking folks, if this touches your heart,
the concern of our country and concern for the Judge to send it to everyone on your email lists, and also post on other forums.
Then asking people at the end of the poem:

I thought about asking folks to print the poem out and mail it to the
The White House signed.
I mean this man gave up his job for his beliefs and God / Allah
can't we give up 5 or 10 min and a .37 (or whatever it is now) postage stamp to give our government tghe message we care and we are concerned.

I'll do some more research on this.
Here is some other info on the Judge.
His book at Amazon.com

So Help Me God: The Ten Commandments, Judicial Tyranny, And The Battle For Religious Freedom -- by Roy Moore, John Perry; Hardcover (Rate it)
Buy new: $16.49

Also here are some web sites with news articals and info on the Judge

Just sometimes brothers and sisters, we hear of something we feel we would be in the wrong not to stand for and this was it for me.
Please, everyone, if you feel compelled to, please send this poem to all your family and friends and post on other boards.

Maybe if we all print it out and mail a copy to the white house and maybe even on to the State of Alabama's Senator we will have our voices heard.
Doesn't matter if one is Muslim or Christian or other,
If you're an American, we all need to stand together for what is right.

Yeah, I did send to to my friends and I also posted it on 2 other sites...

I like the aclu, they have championed many worthy causes, But this is over-the-top.

the man is entitled to express his religious beliefs just like everyone else. and to take his judgship, and practicing law is unjust and oppressive.

he didn't do anything wrong. and nothing that deserves  this backlash.
