Surgery/ Is this Islamically wrong?

I understand we are not to do things not medically needed.
I was wondering if there is anything wrong with this.
I am having surgery soon which is medically needed
.
They will be removing one ovary.
I wanted to keep the other as it is fine and healthy
and will prevent surgical menapause.
However I would not mind if they take the uterus as it
would stop monthly's and the cramps that go with it.
I am nearly 44 and am not expecting I'll be having anymore children
Since I have not used any birth control and my last pregnacy was over 26
yrs ago.

Would there be anything Islamically wrong with taking out a
healthy uterus? During an already needed surgery?
