w'salam,

this sounds interesting but i think we should be careful when we attribute anything to the prophet [saw] i wonder if these hadith are authentic, some seem kinda odd and i've never heard of them... not that i've ever heard every hadith, but they just seem odd.. maybe someone can do some research and try to find the original hadiths?

Excellent point!!!  I know a lot of people mean well, but we have to verify information before spreading it to others (and this is general advice).

Ibn al-Atheer has compiled a chapter in his book Jaami'al-Usool in which he lists many ahaadeeth which warn against lying upon the Messenger of Allaah. Among them, is that which has been recorded by lmaams at-Bukhaaree. Muslim and at-Tirmithee. on the authority of 'Alee who said that the Messenger of Allaah said.Do not lie upon me. For indeed, the one who lies upon me will be tormented by the Hellfire.

In another hadeeth the Prophet said, Whoever attributes a statement to me of which I did not say, then let him find his seat in the Hellfire.

Also, the Messenger of Allaah said, Whoever lies upon me intentionally, then let him find his seat in the Hellfire.

Among the other hadeeths is the one where Allaah's Messenger said, Indeed a lie upon me is not like a lie upon anyone else. So whoever lies upon me intentionally then let him find his seat in the then let him find his seat in the hellfire.

It mentions many of the items above, with references to the books used, but doesn't specify which hadith number.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Make use of the two remedies, honey and the Quran."

Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 1196

"And (consider how) thy Lord has inspired the bee: 'Prepare for thyself dwellings in mountains and in trees, and in what (beekeepers) may build (for thee by way of hives); and then feed on all manner of fruit, and follow humbly the paths ordained for thee by thy Lord.' (And lo!) there issues from within their bodies a fluid of many hues, wherein there is healing for mankind. In all this, there is a message indeed for people who think!"

The Holy Quran, 16:68-69
