| salam anyone get it yet!!! where have i been i didn't know until now!! anyhow check out some samples on his official website www.samiyusuf.com i guess there's two versions... with music and without... i'm thinking the without would highlight his amazing voice more and might be the better one?? there's also a track with Outlandish :o should be very interesting... so now everyone knows what to get me for an eid gift ;P ps sisters note that his wedding ring is quite prominent on the cover of his new album ;) |

| slm, I've listened to both versions now and I think if you really are into nasheed you should get the percussion version. If you listen to music, like american or arab music, the music version is definitely for you. Basically this album covers a number of topics affecting our ummah ie. terrorism, hijab, starving muslims, oppression, and it even has a nice eid song ;) His voice is still amazing ma'shallah. The songs/lyrics are very mature. I only wish they came with the lyrics because there are alot of arabic lyrics but sometimes u just can't catch the words and the website doesn't list everything. Anyhow definitely a ***** (5) star product ;) P.S. - Btw something I noticed also is that the music version is nice... but some of the songs are like breathtaking with just his voice in the percussion version. Like the hijab song is amazing and the Mother song i've heard a hundred times from the video, but listening to just the voice version for the first time will just bring u to tears. |

| [slm] I actually have the [i]Music[/i] version - Masha’Allah his voice is just beautiful with or without the music, so now I’m really tempted to get the non-musical version as well ;) Anyways, my all times favorite song is Al-Mu’alim, he sings the song without music, but it seems like its musical, because of his melodious voice :) Overall, which version would you recommend though? wassalaam. |
